At JL Humphreys & Associates we are committed to providing balanced and affordable legal advice and assistance. Our goal is to be upfront about how we calculate our fees.   

 

Our estate planning packages range from $800 for “simple” couple’s wills to $2,750 for complex wills incorporating testamentary trusts.  After assessing your estate planning goals we will provide you with a fixed fee estimate to advise in relation to your estate planning and to produce a suite of documents for your circumstances.  

 

Other legal work will be charged on a fixed fee basis or at our hourly rates, depending on the work involved.  We will provide a fee estimate before commencing work on your behalf.

 

Some examples of our usual fees are:

 

“Just a simple Will”

Singles - $450

Couples - $800

 

“Just a simple Will and Enduring Power of Attorney” 

Singles - $650

Couples - $950

 

“Simple Will, Power of Attorney and Appointment of Enduring Guardian”

Singles - $750

Couples - $1,250

 

“Something a bit more complex” eg Wills with specific gifts or provisions relating to guardianship of minor children, from $550.

 

“All the bells and whistles” eg Wills incorporating discretionary testamentary trusts, review of super death benefit arrangements, review of jointly owned assets, review of trust interests and preparation of necessary documents, from $2,750.

 

We note that these prices are exclusive of GST and any out of pocket expenses.
